Consider Bamboo Floor CareDo you know how to maintain bamboo flooring and how to take care of it? Very often we purchase something having no idea about its maintenance and care.

Bamboo flooring needs special care like any other flooring by dusting, sweeping or vacuuming. While cleaning the planking consider slightly damp swab. If you poured some water on the floor and forgot to dry it then bear in mind later on you will find some spots on the planking. If you want your bamboo flooring to maintain its fresh look for a long time it is advisable to use one and the same cleaning method.

Bamboo flooring requires a minimum 30% maximum 60% room temperature. In case your home’s humidity is below 30% or above 60% the bamboo flooring can get cracked and shrink.

A culprit to faded floors is the sun. If there is too much sunlight in the room then it can cause discoloring of the flooring.

Pay attention to the fact that your flooring is provided with a UV-protective layer. And always consider curtains in such a case.

Women especially should be careful with their high heels as they can damage the planking. Avoid contacting with the floor if you wear high-heeled shoes. But if you have already damaged your bamboo flooring, rub the floor with a wood floor cleaner and a soft cloth.

Another way to keep the planking clean and the glossy finish intact is to lay down a floor covering. But if you don’t want your floor to be covered with a carpet, you must take into account all the above mentioned factors.

If you consider these bamboo floor care tips, I am sure your flooring will last a long time.
