Once we used to have only wood and laminate floors. But lately bamboo flooring has become more modern and popular.
China produces some of the greatest bamboo flooring manufacturers.
Bamboo floors are made from bamboo plants. Bamboo flooring can be of two types: vertical and horizontal. The two main colors of bamboo floors are natural–like beech, and carbonized–like oak.
Bamboo floors have a reputation for being made of an eco-friendly material, since this plant reaches maturity in less time than any tree used to make wood floors.
There are some reasons why a person may prefer bamboo flooring over wooden floors. Bamboo floors are in fact very durable and they are environmentally much more friendly than wood floors. Bamboo regrows very quickly, so you won’t damage the environment.
Bamboo flooring finishes can be distressed, hand-scraped, or so-called “antique.” This type of flooring is done by workers. As a result each plank has its own personality and texture.
Woven bamboo flooring is known for its aesthetic appeal and durability. The process of manufacturing this type differs from the other types. It is almost twice as hard compared with the traditional bamboo flooring. No toxic materials and resins are used.
Nowadays bamboo flooring can easily replace traditional hardwood flooring, offering a large variety of designs and colors.
