The Sunshine Sunroom

The Sunshine SunroomIf you are a person who makes decisions concerning your home interior with great difficulty, then I’m pretty sure you often have the “this or that” problem.

When you buy a house in a place where the weather is always warm and sunny and think of a new home design, it’s a crime not to have a place at your house where you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. But, of course, in those places there are also mosquitoes and bugs. Even if we put those insects aside, there might be unexpected winds or rains.

This is when you think, “Do I want a porch or a regular room?” The best home interior option is the sunroom. This is the combination of the regular room and a porch.

  • If you decide to add a sunroom to your house, use your back yard. If you build the room on the first floor, make sure it goes into the yard, where you can create a nice garden.
  • You can also arrange your sunroom in the roof. Just find a nice view and build the sunroom in that direction. You should also think about having  a window on the ceiling, so you can see the stars at night.
  • Get long and wide windows and a glass sliding door. When it’s summer, you’ll want to let some fresh air into the room through a french window and create an open-air atmosphere.
  • As the majority of plants like sunshine, they will especially like this room and will do well in it. So, you can even have your indoor garden in this room.
  • You can also save money with your sunroom.  Invite a roof specialist and install solar panels —  it will convert the sunshine into energy and will reduce your electricity bills.
  • If you don’t have a beautiful view from the windows because, for example, you’re living in an urban street full of busy passers-by, the scene would hardly be the one you can enjoy when resting. Plant climbing plants, thick bushes and trees right outside the room. When they grow, they’ll block the bad view, and it might even seem you’re in the middle of a jungle or a forest. You can consult a home interior designer or take care of everything yourself.
  • If you don’t want to spend much money on the sunroom, but still want to have one, you can install glass walls on your porch and turn it into a screened sunroom.
  • It’s clear that the room should have warm, light colors that will make it seem bigger. Don’t load it with furniture and leave some space. Rocking and wood folding chairs with lots of soft pillows are a great option.
  • An interesting decoration idea is having natural stone floors that look like the paths you have in your garden.
  • Turn it into a bedroom. You can put a couple of beds for kids and be sure your children grow up surrounded with natural scenery. There are several kids bedroom ideas you can bring to life in a sunroom.

You can also install a mini air conditioner and have the same effect as in nature. Even the name of this room full of glass doors and windows sounds like a place where everything is bright and sunny.
